Lindsey Hoskins & Associates

Dear Valued Clients of Lindsey Hoskins & Associates,

In these uncertain times and with rapidly evolving demands, Lindsey Hoskins & Associates is committed to continuing to provide high-quality, personal care to our clients and to the communities we serve. The health and well-being of our clients, our staff, and the community at large are our highest priorities, and we are doing everything we can to continue to operate as close as possible to “normal” during this global health event. Here are a few of the ways we are responding:

Cleaning. Practice-wide, we are implementing a policy of more frequent cleaning and disinfecting in our office spaces, including door handles, restroom keys, coffee machines, etc. We will be using bleach-based and disinfectant products to clean our offices, in place of our usual, more eco-friendly products. In addition, we will be placing antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer in our waiting rooms as soon as we are able to acquire them. If you notice anything in our office spaces that you believe needs attention, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Social Distancing. As recommended by the World Health Organization and the US Centers for Disease Control, we will practice social distancing in our in-person interactions with you and will refrain from any physical contact. You may notice this in your interactions with your therapist, especially at the start and end of in-person sessions. New clients, we would usually shake your hands; at this time, we’ll not do so.

Illness. Please do not attend your scheduled appointments in person if you are feeling sick, and do no bring ill family members to your appointment with you. Likewise and to best protect your health, your therapist will not come into the office if she is sick or is concerned about having been exposed. Your therapist will keep you as informed as possible about any changes to her schedule.

Scheduling and Telehealth. Most of our staff are not conducting in-person appointments at this time, and instead offering virtual appointments for all types of therapy (individual, couple, family, and premarital). Whenever necessary and possible, your clinician will work with you to find an alternative to a scheduled in-person meeting, including:

  • We understand that things are changing rapidly in your life, and are having that experience in our own lives as well. For this reason, we understand that we may encounter scheduling conflicts due to alternative work schedules, childcare responsibilities, etc. We are committed to accommodating all reasonable scheduling requests, and your clinician will work with you to determine alternative meeting times if your regular appointment time is no longer available, on your end or on ours.
  • Virtual/telehealth sessions will be offered for all existing clients who wish to utilize them, for any type of session (individual, couple, or family). For new clients, licensure regulations in the state in which your provider is licensed, as well as the state in which you reside, determine whether or not we are able to offer telehealth services at the outset of therapy. Please call or email us directly to determine if this is an option; in most cases, it is possible to start therapy via telehealth.
  • When virtual/telehealth services are not possible, we will make all possible efforts to get your appointment rescheduled as soon as possible.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your clinician directly, or to any member of our administrative staff. We are here to answer your questions, provide support, and get through this together as best we can.
