Biography
With experience in both intensive outpatient substance use treatment and private practice, I offer trauma-informed care and evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, and Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). While these methods provide structure, I believe therapy should be flexible—tailored to your unique needs and goals.
I work with children, teens, adults, and couples as they navigate complex family dynamics, trauma, grief, substance use recovery, parenting challenges, codependency, autism, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, and depression. I have a special passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families as they manage sensory challenges, executive function difficulties, and the pressure to mask their authentic selves. My goal is to create a safe, accepting space where you feel seen and supported.
I help individuals reduce distressing symptoms, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of self. I also support couples in strengthening communication, deepening intimacy, and navigating parenting challenges. My mission is to empower you to create a fulfilling life aligned with what truly matters to you.
About Me
I believe that therapy offers a compassionate, supportive environment where you can develop self-awareness, self-acceptance, and practical skills to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re seeking immediate relief or long-term growth, I view therapy as a collaborative process tailored to your unique needs.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade in nonprofit fundraising. Drawn to a deeper calling, I earned my Master of Social Work from George Mason University and am now working toward clinical licensure. My background allows me to blend evidence-based treatments with the insight of a seasoned professional.
I am committed to continuous learning and regularly attend specialized trainings and collaborate with psychiatrists, schools, and other professionals to provide holistic care. Outside of sessions, I embrace the hustle and bustle of motherhood and family life. You might find me on a walk, meeting a friend for coffee, cherishing time with loved ones, or carpooling kids around town.
