Its finally spring! Change is inevitable and the only constant in our Universe. If there was no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we had not known adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. Renewal , rebuilding, and regrowth are bound to follow the disasters, calamities, epidemics, or pandemics of the world sooner or later. There is so much we can learn from nature.
Spring is a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be.
It is human nature to adjust and adapt to the needs of our environment and before we know we become comfortable with our discomforts. It is also a human tendency to get caught in our own comfort zones. Before we realize, we create our own boundaries and limitations by avoiding change. Adaptation and adjustment are required for us to grow and evolve as humans. Changes happen when we push our own boundaries.
If you do not like where you are, move; you are not a tree.
We have our unique sets of strengths and challenges. While it is important for us to know our challenges, it is also important to have a vision of how our world could be different through our own efforts. While it is important for us to be aware of our core values and the rules that we choose to live by, it is also important to have a perspective of other alternatives. Evaluation and re-evaluation of our own views and being flexible in our approach allows growth.
Do not wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul.
Not all situations are easy to change , not everything is within our control. Experiences of grief, loss and trauma will take their own time to heal. Allowing ourselves the time to let things go, gently weeding out what needs to go and making space for what can grow is required to bring about positive changes. Nurturing the soil of our soul through self-compassion and self-care can help the growth even when we are dealing with pain and suffering.
Maybe it is not always about fixing what is broken, maybe it is time to start something new.
New beginnings are never easy, there is fear and uncertainty. When we welcome new beginnings by accepting and not resisting them, changes are smooth. However, it is important to remember that life is not a race , it is more like a marathon. Slow down to smell the grass, enjoy the present moment, no matter the speed, forward is forward, progress is progress. A step forward no matter how small, is a step in the right direction.
